About

Your Advocate

Regain Your Rights

I’m David Reed, experienced criminal defense expert, family member, and proud owner of my own dedicated defender, Zeus. I practice law in both Austin and Central Texas, and my credentials include a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas State University, a Master of Business Administration from St. Mary’s University, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s University School of Law, received with honors. But my credentials also include experiences most attorneys don’t have: I have personally been in handcuffs and been to jail, and I have experienced the U.S. criminal justice system from the receiving side.

I have personally lost friends to the prison system, and I’ve seen the damage it does to individuals, their families and loved ones. When I was a young adult, I was blessed with a great attorney who truly fought for me and preserved my liberties, allowing me to pursue a goal that I found during that fight: to become the best criminal defense attorney I can be. You see, I’d been given grace–the grace of being treated with dignity, defended with determination, and, eventually, regaining my rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Now, it’s my mission to give that grace to others.

WHat matters most

My Core Beliefs

I am passionate about my mission because of a few particular beliefs:

  • I believe that each of us is a combination of both our highs and our lows–but no single act defines us. I do not believe that we can be or should be defined by allegations or our mistakes.
  • I believe that regardless of the allegations or the facts, everyone deserves an advocate. Everyone’s future deserves to be treated with respect, and every person deserves to be treated with dignity.
  • I believe the U.S. criminal justice system has proven extremely proficient at convicting and incarcerating–and the only way to balance this system is to provide excellent defense for those in danger of being convicted and incarcerated.
  • Most importantly, I believe we are all entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The right to liberty is immediately taken or endangered when you face criminal charges–so I am here to defend it.

If you’re facing criminal charges, please do not believe you need to face them alone. I am here to support you, to represent you, and to fight for you and your rights. I have dedicated my life to the study and practice of law so that I can be the defender you deserve, and it would be my honor to represent you.
